Halbasus, moderator, despre SUV-uri, masini nominalizate Toyota Landcruiser (cei saraci) si BMW X5 (cei bogati): "toti care si-au luat SUV-uri de 2.5 tone ca sa mearga pe asfalt sunt fie cretini fie nu sunt cretini dar in mod sigur nu au nici cea mai mica cultura auto.... atunci trebuie sa fii fie un cretin veritabil, fie un incult in domeniul automobilistic sa iti cumperi un tractor lent, care consuma mult, si nu isi poate tine banda pe serpentine. nu toti sunt in mod obligatoriu idioti, dar in mod sigur au o cultura auto extrem de limitata sau chiar inexistenta.... berlina mea nu deranjeaza pe nimeni, nici cand parcheaza, nici cand merge pe serpentine, in schimb un SUV o va face inevitabil." |

Chiar daca unele vor parea ciudate sau inutile cred ca merita sa cititi (vreo cateva ore) aici:

In my state of Arizona, if you are holding up five or more vehicles that appear to want to pass, you MUST yield the roadway to them at the first safe opportunity. You do not have to pull off on a dangerous shoulder, but at the first improved, safe place, you must yield, stopping if necessary, and allow the following vehicles to pass. Many states have similar laws. Keep in mind this law isn't at all affected by how underpowered or overloaded your vehicle may be -- it is not a defense to say that if you had pulled off, you'd not have been able to get rolling again. If that's the case, then you are not driving a vehicle that's safe under the conditions existing -- conditions that you've created by the choices you made. As a defensive driver, I think about the state of mind of the other drivers around me, since their unsafe actions may also endanger me. With that in mind, I will often pull off and allow even just one or two following vehicles to pass me. It is not worth it to me to have an impatient and possibly angry driver on my tail. Does it cost me time? Yes, it does! But it's only a few seconds, and one of my goals in life is to relax and enjoy the ride a little more, so this fits in with my overall "plan." To sum up, drive to the right if you're not passing on multilane roads, and yield to faster vehicles even on narrow mountain roads." Buna legea ... la noi vor sa mai bage o chestie care sa le permita sa stea la japca. Daca lu nenea militianu i se pare ca mergi in zig-zag sau conduci "agresiv" - pac amenda. Asa imi aduc aminte de mine acu cativa ani cand am reusit sa fac 3h de la comarnic la predeal, bineinteles, coloana, nervi, stat incordat sa prind momentul de depasit - groaznic. In plus, nici prietena mea nu s-a simtit foarte confortabil, cu atat mai mult cu cat plecam in concediu. De atunci am zis ca nu mai fac asa ceva in viata mea. Daca-i coloana si se misca foarte foarte incet, opresc, bag o pipa, calm, "enjoying the site", mult mai bine. In plus, oricum ii cam ajung pe cei din fata cativa km mai incolo, dar macar sunt cativa km relaxanti si pe de alta parte prefer sa pierd cateva minute decat sa ma enervez. Mai mult, mi-am dat seama ca pentru a pastra o atmosfera placuta la drum nu e neaparat necesar sa merg incet ci relaxat, sau macar sa par relaxat.
