Pe primul loc - sexul. In afara de rolul pe care il are in perpetuarea speciei, sexul reduce stresul, scade colesterolul si imbunatateste circulatia sangelui. Credeti ca mai gasiti alte scuze? Pe locul 2 - ciocolata. Cei care iubesc ciocolata jubileaza. In ultimul timp, studiu dupa studiu arata beneficiile ei: contine antioxidanti care previn anumite tipuri de cancer. Anumite substante pot chiar sa previna dementa. Consumati ciocolata cu cel mai mare continut de cacao. Cea care are prea mult zahar face mai mult rau decat bine. Pe locul 3 - vinul rosu. Este un ingredient esential pentru a ne mentine in forma. Se stie de mult timp ca ajuta la prevenirea cancerului si la protejarea arterelor. Unele studii arata insa ca exista un antioxidant care se gaseste in strugurii rosii din care se face vinul, numit resveratrol. Acesta imbunatateste anduranta muschilor, reduce afectiunile gingiilor si aparitia bolii Alzheimer. Pe locul 4 - marijuana. Este acum, in mod exagerat, considerata o forma de a stopa pierderile de memorie - mai precis, anumite tipuri de memorie si numai pe termen lung, in general considerandu-se ca pe termen scurt afecteaza in mod negativ memoria. Studiile recente facute pe cobai arata ca substantele care se gasesc in acest drog impiedica acumularea proteinelor in creier, una dintre principalele cauze ale acestei afectiuni. In concluzie, cand aveti de gand sa incepeti tratamentul? Totusi, ar fi bine sa asteptati pana se experimenteaza si la oameni. Pe locul 5 - viermii. Desi sunt scarbosi, va pot salva viata. Aceste larve sunt cea mai noua minune curativa. Pusi pe ranile grave, viermii mananca bacteriile si tesutul mort, prevenind infectia si ajutand la vindecarea ranii. Pe locul 6 - lumina soarelui. Ultravioletele sunt benefice, iar lumina soarelui, chiar si indirect, ridica moralul. Un pic de soare ii poate ajuta pe cei care lucreaza in birouri sa se mai dezmorteasca. Pe locul 7 - LSD-ul (substanta halucinogena). Cercetatorii au descoperit ca, in cazul alcoolicilor, mici doze de LSD ii ajuta sa renunte la pahar definitiv. Pe locul 8 - cafeaua. Multe studii sustin ca este o sursa de antioxidanti si scade riscul de diabet. Ceva din boabele ei scade incidenta cirozei si bolilor pancreasului. Pe locul 9 - furia. Izbucnirile sunt bune pentru sanatate. Daca te abtii risti sa devii speriat, nervos si scarbit. Totusi, mania este buna doar in cantitate moderata. Daca dureaza prea mult, risti sa iti creasca tensiunea, sa ai insomnii si sa ai probleme cu plamanii. Pe locul 10 - berea. S-a descoperit de curand ca un consum moderat de bere poate imbunatati functiile sistemului cardiovascular. A. This is one of those myths that has lingered because to the "non-physiology minded" it sounds pretty good. But then again, if you know nothing about how the gastrointestinal tract really works; relatively any pseudoscientific theory would sound pretty good. Below I've listed some reasons why water intake during meals is completely safe as well as potentially beneficial. I've also discussed why this myth should be categorized along with sightings of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. a) Digestion occurs in an aqueous (watery) environment therefore water is always present during digestion. This normal water content is necessary to dissolve the active enzymes (which are peptides/proteins) and food particles and to allow the efficient movement of these chemicals throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore in the absence of adequate water, the enzymes and the food would hardly interact and in this case, digestion would surely be impaired. When food is ingested in the absence of adequate water and the concentration of the food particles accumulates in the GI tract, water is actually secreted from the body into the GI in order to dilute the foodstuffs. This seems to indicate that the body wants water in the GI during digestion in order to operate more efficiently. Therefore if you don't provide water with your meal, the GI tract will just pull it from the body. c) Water can freely move throughout the GI tract (i.e. from stomach to intestines) and throughout the GI membranes into the body and therefore any excess water not necessary for normal digestion would probably not interact with the digestive juices anyway. d) Digestive juices in the stomach are quite acidic. It would take a heck of a lot of water to actually dilute this level of acidity. e) Many foods have quite a high water content already. In fact, the average individual consumes about 1L or 4 cups of their water each day from foods (average water intake is about 3L or 12 cups per day). So if this "dilution myth" were actually true, any food containing water (oatmeal, soup, fruits and veggies) would be considered bad. Rather than avoiding water during meals, I actually encourage it since most individuals don't take in enough water each day as it is. If you're a hard training (and sweating) athlete, your water requirements are quite high.
