This design concept was done by the Volkswagen Design Center in California for SEMA, and it's not just a pretty face. Its turbocharged four-cylinder makes 375 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque, so enjoy the view while you can. It does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, so if the mood strikes, it'll be out of sight before you can say "Fahrvergnugen."

The R GTI uses loads of carbon fiber pieces to lower the GTI's weight - the stock hood, front fenders, side rockers, and hatch door were all replaced with the woven wonder. It also sports a carbon fiber front grille surround, front spoiler, rear spoiler, and rear-view mirrors. It also has other styling elements taken from the R32, including its taillights and twin central exhaust pipes. Behind the hexagonal spoke pattern on the nineteen-inch front wheels-- a styling cue that recalls the GTI's trademark grille--are four-piston Brembo aluminum-alloy calipers painted with the colors of the German flag.

Intradevar superba. Nu stiu cum au facut ei 37.. bhp din motoru' ala dar banuiesc ca trebuie servisat foarte des. Oricum foarte tare, mai ales interiorul, scaunele alea ii dau ceva ce golful gti stock nu are... si anume un stil sportiv.

Destul de simplu. Au pus twincharger pe motorul de 3.2.

motorul de 3.2 are 6 cilindrii iar in text zice ca ar fi unmotor de 4 cilindrii in cauza , adica un 2.0TFSI la origine smile.gif

Domle esti un foarte mare carcotas biggrin.gif . Si eu ma gandeam ca spoilerul fata este cam mare dar mi-a cam fost frica sa postez avand in vedere masina pe care o posed biggrin.gif . Dar oricum e numai problema da gust . Masina este mai mult decat ok , avand in vedere ca are destui de multi caluti dar si design-ul.

At last year's SEMA show, VW introduced a trio of R Concept cars that included a 500-hp Jetta, 500-hp Touareg and 575-hp Passat. The new GTI wasn't available in the U.S. at the time and missed its ticket to Vegas. This year, however, the GTI made the trip to Sin City and in fact is the main attraction at VW's display. The VW R GTI is a one-off produced by Chief Designer Derek Jenkins and his Volkswagen Design Center California crew. The decision was made to dial back the power numbers comared to last year's R Concept cars in favor of a more "streetable" car, though Jenkins found many ways in which to achieve an equal measure of performance through lopping off some of the car's lard. First he turned to trusted VW tuner APR to pop a larger turbo on the car's 2.0t engine that pumps 21 psi of pressure to produce 375 horsepower and 340 ft-lbs. of torque (it goes up to 400 hp on 93 octane). In order to make the most of that power, Jenkins skinned the majority of the car's body in carbon fiber. Even the rear seats were removed and replaced with a carbon fiber mold fashioned into two leather-lined buckets. The increase in power and decrease in weight means a trip to 60mph takes only 4.8 seconds in the R GTI. It also benefits from the now familiar smattering of upgrades to the suspension, brakes, transmission and exhaust that we've come to expect from every SEMA car. VW asserts that R GTI is a one-off, but also states matter of factly that anyone could build something similar by just picking up a VW enthusiast mag and thumbing through the marketplace in the back.

Pai daca e GTI e clar ca e FWD, mai ales ca are si TFSI-ul de 2.0 l.
Nu e AWD dar are un diferential torque-sensing quaife.

Cred ca e vorba de cifrele octanice din state, care sunt diferite de cele din europa, benzina de 93 de la ei fiind defapt echivalentul benzinei de 98/99 sau ceva de genu... benzina europeana de 95 avand cifra octanica 91 in US... Dar s-ar putea sa ma insel.
