Fresh from its debut at the Paris Motorshow, the Mégane F1 Team R26 is the most potent, driver-focussed Mégane yet. And with just a few hundred models set for release in the UK, you’re sure to stand out from the madding crowd.

Engine / Exhaust
The Renault engineer is notoriously hard to please. Drivers may have thought their 2.0 litre turbo unit was fierce enough in its original guise. But that was before painstaking modifications added a further 5 horsepower and 10Nm of torque. Be under no illusion. The Mégane F1 Team R26 responds immediately and delivers fearsome acceleration. From a standing start you can reach 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and cover 1,000 metres in a blistering 26.6 seconds. That makes this one of the quickest hatches on the market. It sounds different too. Renault has tweaked the car’s exhaust to give a real sporty rasp – especially at low speeds and during hard acceleration.

Suspension / Handling / Chassis
The Mégane F1 Team R26 is as close as you can get to driving a genuine competition car. Part of this is down to the engine. The rest is a result of work to the vehicle’s suspension, handling and chassis. In a first for a Mégane, the F1 Team R26 is equipped with Limited Slip Differential.
For the uninitiated, this means that when one wheel starts to spin torque is transferred to the other. The upshot is impeccable traction irrespective of your driving style or type of corner – however much grip is available. An effect amplified by the modifications Renault’s engineers have made to the car’s “Cup” chassis and suspension settings.

Brakes / Wheels / Tyres
The Mégane F1 Team R26 runs on Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres (235/40 R18). These tyres give the Mégane F1 Team R26 increased grip, superb turn-in and great mid-bend performance. This calls for brakes with both bite and endurance. Hence the Mégane F1 Team R26’s uprated brake system – featuring red painted Brembo front and rear brake callipers.

Aerodynamics / Exterior
The Mégane F1 Team R26 stands apart from all other Mégane Renaultsport models in looks as well as performance. A trip around the vehicle’s exterior reveals a unique graphics package with Renault F1 Team decals on the bumpers, doors and roof."

Frumoasa numai ca is curios cum merge . Au si cei de la Opel un model Astra VXR 235 cp accelereaza foarte repede numai ca atunci cand e vorba de o curba are tendinta de a merge tot drept :angel: .

Eu am vazut-o la Top Gear si la ei se cheama Vauxhall si OPC=VXR. http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vx/vxr/flash/index_main.html. Tot acelasi lucru e. Sunt frumoase numai ca au comportament subvirator daca nu ma insel blush.gif

corect sunt penalizate foarte tare de tractiunea fata. concurenta are ori 4 mottion ori tractiune spate. si vectra opc are aceiasi problema. cred ca tractiunea integrala care se preconizeaza pt viitorul model va rezolva problema, pt ca pe moment se pare ca singura solutie adoptata a fost suspensia independenta si pe spate

cat despre reno eu zic ca ei chiar au expertiza si ar putea sa produca ceva spectaculos. renoul asta e ceva mai lent decat seria 1 si R32, cam la fel de rapid ca OPC-ul si o idee mai rapid decat Focusul . sa vedem si pe circuit, pt ca pe hartie e ok.

dar nu imi place cum arata masina. in varianta cuminte eu zic ca e o masina ok, dar asa nu i se potriveste deloc infatisarea de masina rea.

daca se va comercializa ii va fi foarte greu daca nu aproape imposibil sa se impuna pe un segment de piata unde stapani sunt R32 si seria 1

Depinde acum si pretul masinii avand in vedere ca se vand un numar finit de masini cine stie . Poate vor unii sa aiba o masina mai "exclusiva" si o vor cumpara . Sincer sa fiu mi se pare aceptabila masina. Daca ar fii sa imi iau o masina cu motor pe benzina 2.0 cred ca asi cumpara o impreza WRX are 225 cp tractiune integrala e mai mare si e la un pret de 22000 cip (sper ca nu gresesc la pret).
