Hai sa discutam aici despre ce se intampla mai important in lumea Formulei 1 in timpul pauzei de iarna, pana la inceputul sezonului 2007: teste, stiri, transferuri, schimbari, zvonuri etc.... Incep io cu 3 stiri proaspete:

1. <<<McLaren has designed its 2007 car to suit Fernando Alonso's unique driving style. The Spaniard's countryman, 2006 test and race driver Pedro de la Rosa, made the revelation in the Madrid based newspaper Marca. "They have designed mostly the front suspension with Fernando in their minds," de la Rosa said. 25-year-old Alonso, F1's newly back to back World Champion for Renault, is noted for having one of the most distinctively aggressive driving styles - particularly on corner turn-in. De la Rosa, who is hoping to occupy the full time seat alongside Alonso next year, also said Alonso 'uses the brakes very hard'.>>> blink.gif

2. <<<F1's youngest ever back to back champion, Fernando Alonso, says he would be content to retire after winning a third title. "Senna won three so for me to achieve what he achieved would be the object of my career," Spanish television channel Telecinco quoted the 25-year-old as saying. Alonso, who sealed his second drivers' crown at Interlagos on Sunday, also hinted that McLaren could be his last team in the sport. Continuing the Ayrton Senna theme, he said: "To join McLaren and to never race with Ferrari reminds me a lot of (him)." Alonso's McLaren contract is for three years. The only drivers to ever win three championships in a row were Michael Schumacher and Juan Manuel Fangio. The Spanish newspaper El Mundo, meanwhile, wrote on Monday that it hoped Alonso would 'calm down' and be less outspoken in the coming years. "It was the same with Schumacher. At the start of his career the German's image was not as good as it was at the end.">>>

3. <<<Ross Brawn's retirement or 'sabbatical' will be confirmed by Ferrari this week, according to widespread media reports. London broadsheet 'The Times' quoted race and test technical manager Nigel Stepney as saying the team reshuffle 'is not going to be easy' for the Maranello based squad. "I don't know at the moment what's happening to Ross," he insisted, "but taking two or three members out of the team and with people moving up into their places - it's difficult to say." Stepney's comments give rise to speculation that the Briton might be near the front of the queue to fill posts. Luca Baldisseri is tipped to take over from Brawn as technical director, the Italian 'Ansa' news agency said. Ansa added : "Team principal Jean Todt in all likelihood will leave the paddock and focus more on running the company." Stefano Domenicali may take over from the Frenchman at the helm, with Mario Almondo promoted to fill his post as sporting director. Engine chief Paulo Martinelli may also leave the team, to be replaced by Mattia Binotto, additional reports in Italy insist.>>>

Ferrari Formula One team boss Jean Todt has been announced as the Italian car manufacturer’s new Chief Executive Officer. The position of General Manager, previously held by Todt, will be taken by Amedeo Felisa.
Both appointments were confirmed on Wednesday following a meeting of the Ferrari S.p.A. Board of Directors in Turin, Italy, under the presidency of Luca di Montezemolo.
Ferrari are expected to make further announcements later this week specific to the future management structure of their Formula One team, in light of Michael Schumacher's retirement.

GO KIMI!!!!!! arigato.gif

QUOTE
Hakkinen to test McLaren on Thursday
29 November 2006

Two-times Formula 1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen will drive a Team McLaren
Mercedes Formula 1 car for the first time since the 2001 Japanese Grand Prix on Thursday 30th November 2006 when he will conduct a day's testing at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, Spain.

This will constitute part of the team's winter testing programme in preparation for the 2007 season in which double World Champion Fernando Alonso and GP2 Champion Lewis Hamilton will be competing for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.

Mika asked for the opportunity to re-familiarise himself with a Formula 1 car, and the team will use this test to benefit from Mika's experience and obtain his feedback with regards to changes in downforce, engine and tyres following the regulatory changes which have occurred since he last drove a Formula 1 car.

Since retiring from Formula 1, Mika has remained an integral part of the Team McLaren Mercedes family by competing in the DTM Touring Car Championship as a works driver for Mercedes-Benz with an AMG-Mercedes C Class. Only last week the links were further strengthened when Mika was announced as an ambassador for Johnnie Walker - a long-term commercial partner of Team McLaren Mercedes.

"I'm really excited about driving a Team McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 car again and to be re-engaging with the team," said the 38-year-old Finn. "I have followed the Formula 1 World Championship closely since my retirement at the end of the 2001 season, but it was when I was at this year's Brazilian Grand Prix as a guest of the team that I really felt I would like to get a chance to drive a Formula 1 car again. I have recently spent some time in Team McLaren Mercedes' simulator in Woking and to get the possibility to drive the MP4-21 is something I'm really looking forward to. I would like to thank Ron and Norbert for making this happen. This test is a chance for me to see how much Formula 1 cars have advanced and experience first hand what they are like to drive today as well as providing the team with some feedback on various aspects of the car's performance."

Deci interesul lui Hakkinen pt. F1 este din ce in ce mai profund. Nu se putea spune asta despre el in 2001 cind s-a pensionat. Nu m-as mira sa il vad inapoi in F1...dupa cum sint convins ca si Schumi va reveni...probabil in 2008 cu BMW.
