se pare ca acum au loc tratative la sange intre FIAT si GM prin care grupul FIAT vrea sa forteze GM sa indeplineasca o clauza contractuala mai veche ( atunci cand GM si FIAT s-au aliat si GM a achizitionat 10% din actiunile FIAT) prin care grupul FIAT sa cedeze GM proprietatea asupra FIAT auto. GM nu vrea sub nici o forma si este dispus sa plateasca o suma considerabila ca sa scape de obligatiile asumate anterior.

Deci FIAT vrea sa se vanda strainilor dar GM nu sunt de acord ca italienii sa-si vanda tara... deci GM miroase o paguba mare daca se procopseste cu FIAT...

Nu ma asteptam ca Hyunai sa aiba un asemenea succes in SUA.bravo lor smile.gif din nou ma surprinde, intr-un mod neplacut de aceasta data,Mercedes;ma asteptam sa vanda mult mai mult peste ocean.

Concluzia mea este ca americanii... nu prea mai sunt americani.

intr-adevar hyundai urca puternic. cred ca nu numai ca vanzari dar si ca fiabilitate. am condus un hyundai xg 30 timp de 3 ani si po sa spun ca am fost foarte multumit. consumul cam mare, dar avand in vedere ca era masina de companie...

asta nu s-a dorit ca o ofensa pt. Subaru, dar pe lista urmau numai marci cu volum mic si am considerat e cazul sa ma opresc... acolo.

Subaru (poz. 24 pe lista) a fost in 2004 in USA in crestere minima 0.3% ( introducerea noilor Legacy/Outback s-a facut in a doua jumatate a anului) si a vandut 187.400 masini ( 89.500 Legacy/Outback-uri, 58.500 Forestere, 32.200 Impreze si 7300 Baje, Baja fiind varianta double-cab pick-up truck a Outback-ului.

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. este in restructurare iar productia sa globala a scazut in anul 2004 cu 10,8 procente."


cu privire la Nissan de precizat ca Almera nu exista pe piata USA, dar Altima ( care este cumva echivalentul Primerei) s-a vandut un pic mai bine.

oricum marcile japoneze au avut, cu exceptia Mitsubishi care este in degringolada, un 2004 f. bun.

...Toyota is worth more than the American Big Three put together, and more than the combination of its successful Japanese rivals, Nissan and Honda. Last year Nissan may have outperformed Toyota in terms of operating margin, but over the long haul it has been the provincial powerhouse from Aichi prefecture near Nagoya that has consistently shown the way.

First, of course, it taught the modern car industry how to make cars properly. Few had heard of the Toyota Production System (TPS) until three academics in the car industry study programme run by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) wrote a book in 1991 called “The Machine that Changed the World”. It described the principles and practices behind the “just-in-time” manufacturing system developed at Toyota by Taiichi Ohno. He in turn had drawn inspiration from W. Edwards Deming, an influential statistician and quality-control expert who had played a big part in developing the rapid-manufacturing processes used by America during the second world war.

At the core of TPS is elimination of waste and absolute concentration on consistent high quality by a process of continuous improvement (kaizen). The catchy just-in-time aspect of bringing parts together just as they are needed on the line is only the clearest manifestation of the relentless drive to eliminate muda (waste) from the manufacturing process. The world's motor industry, and many other branches of manufacturing, rushed to embrace and adopt the principles of TPS.

In the process American and European cars went from being unreliable, with irritating breakdowns, leaks and bits dropping off in the 1970s, to the sturdy, reliable models consumers take for granted today. In real terms car prices may only have edged down over the past two decades compared with the drastic reductions seen in personal computers and all consumer-electronics goods. But the quality, content and economy of today's cars is incomparable with what was on offer 30 years ago. The main credit goes to the Japanese, led by Toyota. High petrol prices drove American consumers to buy economical Japanese imports; high quality kept them coming back. Europeans, too, were quick to see the attraction of cars that seldom broke down, unlike the native varieties. When trade barriers were erected, the Japanese built their plants inside them. Toyota may have been slower than Honda or Nissan to expand abroad, but its manufacturing method gave it an advantage once it did so.

So Toyota's success starts with its brilliant production engineering, which puts quality control in the hands of the line workers who have the power to stop the line or summon help the moment something goes wrong. Walk into a Toyota factory in Japan or America, Derby in Britain or Valenciennes in France and you will see the same visual displays telling you everything that is going on. ...

....Another triumph is the slick product-development process that can roll out new models in barely two years. As rival Carlos Ghosn, chief executive of Nissan, notes in his book “Shift” (about how he turned around the weakest of Japan's big three), as soon as Toyota bosses spot a gap in the market or a smart new product from a rival, they swiftly move in with their own version. The result is a bewildering array of over 60 models in Japan and loads of different versions in big overseas markets such as Europe and America. Of course, under the skin, these share many common parts. Toyota has long been the champion of putting old wine in new bottles: over two-thirds of a new vehicle will contain the unseen parts of a previous model....

...This globalisation process has transformed the size and shape of Toyota. In 1980 Toyota had 11 factories in nine countries; in 1990 it had 20 in 14 countries; today it has 46 plants in 26 countries. In addition, it has design centres in California and in France and engineering centres in the Detroit area, in Belgium and Thailand...

As GM's bonds sink towards junk status, and as Japanese carmakers steadily overhaul America's Big Three, it must be a chilling thought that Detroit's nemesis is working on ways to improve its performance. No wonder one GM planner mused privately that the only way to stop Toyota would be the business equivalent of germ warfare, finding a “poison pill” or “social virus” that could be infiltrated into the company to destroy its culture.

What else could stop Toyota? Soon it will have the scale to outgun GM. A technological revolution will not threaten it, since Toyota is leading the way with hybrid electrics en route to full-scale fuel-cell electric cars. Consumer preference for exciting designs? Toyota has shown that it can play that game: there is a stylish edginess in recent models such as the Prius, Yaris, the new Avensis and even its venerable LandCruiser SUV. At least the man from GM put his finger on the key to Toyota's success. Provided its culture can be sustained as it goes from being an international Japanese company to a global one, then Toyota's future seems secure.

Alianta Renault-Nissan este un alt castigator al anului 2004, atingand vanzari de 5.682.642 vehicule si 9,36% din piata mondiala, apropiindu-se de numarul 3 mondial Ford...

Dupa Reuters:
France's second biggest automaker said it made an operating profit of 2.418 billion euros ($3.11 billion) in 2004, up 72.5 percent on 2003, giving it an operating margin of 5.9 percent. But it forecast a profit margin in 2005 "higher than 4 percent of revenues" under IFRS accounting rules, which on that basis would compare with about 5.1 percent in 2004.

In 2004 vanzarile grupului Renault au crescut cu 4,2% atingand nivelul record de 2.488.523 vehicule ( aici sunt incluse si Dacia si Samsung). cota mondiala: 4.1%.

Nissan ramane insa elementul cel mai dinamic al aliantei cu o crestere globala de 8% pana la 3.194.119 vehicule. vanzarile in Japonia ale Nissan au scazut cu 4.9% pana la aprox. 743 000, dar grupul a crescut spectaculos cu aprox. 20% in America de Nord pana la 1,29 milioane ( 986 mii in USA +24%, dar o crestere de aproape 10% a avut loc si in Mexic pana la 235 mii, unde si Renault e prezent dar mult mai discret). In Europa Nissan a ramas constant la 544 000 buc...

Pentru al saptelea an consecutiv, marca Renault este numarul 1 in Europa Occidentala cu o cota de 10,8 %. Renault isi mentine primul loc la vanzari in Franta, Spania, Portugalia, Belgia, si se afla in primele trei in Austria, Olanda si Marea Britanie.

Proiectul Mégane ( Megane si Scenic) in 2004 a cunoscut o crestere de 18%, depasind duetul Golf-Touran al VAG... Peugeot 206 ( incluzand varianta sa decapotabila), ramane insa modelul cel mai popular in Europa, urmat de Golf...

Scenic II e leader in segmentul monovolumelor compacte, cu o cota de 23,1%, iar Espace e primul loc in segmentul monovolumelor mari, cu o cota de 20,4%.

Renault este leader si la autoutilitare cu o cota de piata de aproximativ 15% (290 087 vehicule vandute). Kangoo Express ramane furgoneta cea mai vanduta in Europa.

si de anul acesta Carlos Ghosn trece la carma Aliantei... Bill Ford va avea un nou cosmar dupa cel numit Toyota... Iar Rick Wagoner ( presedintele GM) pare deja resemnat in fata provocarii Toyota...

pana la urma Dacia nu a nimerit intr-o companie proasta...

Ford a vandut 6.798.000 vehicule in 2004 cu aproape 1% mai mult decat in 2003, oprind o serie neagra de 4 ani de scaderi continue... vanzarile globale pe 2004 sunt insa inferioare celor din 2002... cifrele includ si Mercury, Lincoln si marcile europene Volvo, Jaguar, Aston Martin unde Ford este actionar majoritar.

In calitatea sa de actionar principal la Mazda, Ford a incasat 118 milioane $ ca dividende... Performantele Mazda nu sunt incluse in cifrele Ford, pt. ca Ford nu detine decat 33% din actiuni.

inca o precizare: vanzarile grupului Toyota ( incluzand si marcile Daihatsu si Hino aflate in posesia Toyota) s-au ridicat la 7.547.177 vehicule... cifra de mai sus reprezinta doar vanzarile Toyota-Lexus...

Si piata europeana incepe sa dezvolte un apetit (nesanatos) pentru SUV-uri.

In consecinta Nissan va produce un SUV Renault care va fi lansat probabil catre sfarsitul anului in Europa. Nissan sta f. bine la acest capitol pe plan mondial.

PSA a incheiat de asemenea un contract cu Mitsubishi prin care japonezii vor proiecta si produce un SUV care va fi vandut sub marca Peugeot.

Saab va primi de la GM un SUV modelat pe baza Chevrolet Trail-Blazer/GMC Envoy si produs in USA. Asta spre usurarea Subaru, care a fost initial in carti pentru aceasta. In felul acesta Subaru Tribeca nu va avea nici un geaman Saab.

dupa cum am adus chestia in discutie pe topicul SUV vs. monovolum, de fapt SUV-urile nu sunt mai sigure decat turismele, cel putin bazat pe datele din USA de la sfarsitul anilor 90:

IMPRESII:

1) in top 10 sunt numai masini nemtesti sau asamblate in Germania ( Ford Focus se asambleaza in principal la Saarlouis si secundar la Valencia si Sankt Petersburg)... e clar ca nemtii cred in Deutschland, Deutschland, uber alles...

2) Astra, desi a avut succes inca nu a ajuns nici la jumatate din vanzarile Golf/Bora in timp ce Golful cu putine incentive se mentine in frunte... Nu cred ca rezultatele pe ansamblul Europei sa fie mult diferite...

3) surprinzator dupa masinile nemtesti sau Skoda ( pe care cu greu o putem considera "straina" pt. nemti) sunt apreciate Peugeot, Ford, Renault si Toyota...

Grupul FIAT a terminat 2004 cu 22 milioane de euro ( 29mil $) profit, in contextul in care FIAT auto a produs pierderi de aprox. 1,1 miliarde de dolari (840 milioane euro) dar celelalte divizii au avut profituri ( in special din vanzarea de tractoare si robotica industriala) care au compensat pierderile din sectorul auto si dus la micul profit.

productia de turisme a fost 1,77milioane in usoara crestere fata de 2003 mai ales datorita cresterii cu aprox 13% a vanzarilor pe piata braziliana, dar continua sa fie in scadere pe piata sa principala, cea europeana. chiar si vanzarile Fiat in Italia au scazut in 2004 fata de anul precedent.

Afara de cei 2 miliarde de $ primiti de la GM, FIAT a recurs si la vanzarea
cotei sale de 24,6% din actiunile holdingului Italenergia in valoare de 0,6 miliarde de euro. sa speram ca aceasta gura de oxigen le va permite italienilor sa revina pe linia de plutire.

Sergio Marchionne, presedintele grupului FIAT, a anuntat ca obiectivul diviziei auto este sa termine anul 2005 cu pierderi de numai 307 milioane de euro.
