Despre Nissan mi s-a spus ca are motor cu turatie mare si asta nu-i bine.
E unicul drum spre casa mea. Am spus casa, nu vila de senator, deci nu-mi pot face alta in urmatorii 20 ani. Asa ca garda la sol e cam unicul criteriu critic in alegerea masinii.
Forumul asta e tare bun.
Va multumesc tuturor pentru sinceritatea si promptitudinea raspunsurilor !
Va astept si cu alte sugestii si comentarii.

Lada Niva, eventual GPL?

Kia Sportage

The worst of an unimpressive lot
* Tested version: Four-door EX, $20,654

The driving experience

The Sportage delivers just about the nastiest ride of any passenger vehicle made today. Road bumps transmit hard shocks, making the body bound like a pogo stick. You're also treated to grating road, wind, and engine noise.

Routine cornering is clumsy at best, with lots of body lean. The steering is slow, heavy, and unresponsive. In fast cornering maneuvers at our track and in our emergency avoidance maneuver, the Sportage heeled up and scrubbed its tires as it plowed ahead. It felt disconcertingly unstable, sometimes lifting an inside wheel, but it never threatened to tip.

The 2.0-liter Four is noisy and weak, averaging only 19 mpg. The four-speed automatic transmission has to shift frequently just to keep up with traffic. A five-speed manual is standard. You can engage the part-time four-wheel-drive at up to 50 mph, but the shifter is annoyingly stiff. The four-wheel drive isn't suitable for use on dry pavement.

The Sportage tackled our off-road course successfully, but the undercarriage often made contact with the boulders on our rock hill.

Braking was acceptable, although stops were long on wet pavement.

Inside the vehicle

Most of our drivers could get comfortable behind the wheel, but our five-footer wanted to sit higher for a better view. The rear seat is adequate for two adults, but very tight for three.

Cabin storage includes a couple of bins up front, three flimsy cup holders, and a map pocket on the front doors and front seatbacks.

The steering wheel hides some minor controls. The horn is hard to activate, and the audio buttons are tiny, illegible, and hard to use. The climate system provides ample cool or warm air. But it doesn't always distribute the air evenly, and the fan is noisy.

Opening the tailgate is a cumbersome, two-handed operation, and the steel-rimmed, full-sized spare must be swung away first. Folding down the rear seatbacks yields respectable cargo space, but there are no tie-downs to secure luggage. A folded wheelchair fits with ease.

Safety and reliability

Besides the usual front air bags, the Sportage has a unique knee-level air bag for the driver. There are four lap-and-shoulder safety belts. The front belts have an adjustable upper anchor, but the buckle tends to ride too high on some people. The front head restraints are high enough even when fully lowered. The two built-in rear head restraints may be too soft to do much good in a rear-end crash.

The government hasn't subjected the current Sportage to a frontal crash test. In a side-impact government test, the Sportage rolled onto its side--not an encouraging sign. It earned a "marginal" score in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's 40-mph offset frontal crash test.

Driving with kids: The center-rear lap belt may be too short to fit around some child seats.

We have no reliability data on the Sportage, but the poor quality of our sample bodes ill. Among the nine defects cropping up during its first 3,000 miles were repeated failures of the power mirrors and rear windows, a broken part on the heater duct, a misaligned tailgate and spare-tire carrier, a squealing alternator bearing, jammed washer jets, and a couple of unexplained "check engine" lights.

El dorea o masina in 15000 euro.

- Niva nu intra in discutie.
- Ramane cam singura varianta Terrano 2.

Nu stiu de Pajero, aici nu este modelul respectiv. in general SUV-urile off road ale mitsubishi nu sunt grozave insa.

ai aici sumarul CR al jeep liberty (=Cherokee acolo). nu e stralucit pe asfalt dar are capacitati off road excelente. e bun pt. functia de masina de famile:

Highs: Turning circle, off-road ability.
Lows: Fuel economy, ride, access.

The Liberty is a step forward for Jeep, but doesn't break new ground for the category. Acceleration is good and braking is sound. But the ride is jittery and fuel economy is poor. Off-roading is the Liberty's strong suit. In contrast to drivers from AutoWeek magazine, who experienced a rollover with their 2WD Liberty in a slalom test, we experienced no unusual handling behavior with either our 4WD or 2WD models in any of our testing.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE

The Liberty absorbs sharp bumps well, but suffers from constant small body motions that make the ride jittery. Although wind noise on the highway is pronounced, the cabin is still quiet. The Liberty isn't very nimble, but it handles soundly in routine driving. The steering is fairly quick, and the body leans only a little in turns. A tight, 37-foot turning circle helps maneuverability in tight areas. Our Liberty proved predictable and secure in all of our emergency handling tests. The 210-hp, 3.7-liter V6 provides responsive performance, but achieved a paltry 15 mpg overall on regular fuel. The four-speed automatic shifts smoothly. The optional Selec-Trac 4WD system has a full-time mode that allows it to remain engaged indefinitely. The Liberty bounced roughly, but slogged through our off-road course and climbed our rock hill well. Braking performance was good.

INSIDE THE CABIN

The interior is a bit utilitarian. The front seats pleased most testers, but there's no seat-height adjustment, something our five-foot-tall driver missed. Rear seating is fine for two adults but tight for three. A high step-in height and narrow doors hinder access. The gauges are easily legible most of the time. The window switches, however, are hard to see and reach. Cabin storage is just adequate. Front and rear have two sturdy cup holders apiece. The cargo floor is flat and flush, but quite high off the ground. With the rear seatbacks folded, we measured cargo volume at 35 cubic feet--about average for the class. Load capacity is high at 1,150 pounds. Our Liberty's towing capacity was rated at 2,000 pounds. When equipped with optional towing equipment, the Liberty can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

SAFETY NOTES

Front air bags in the Jeep Liberty deploy at different levels depending on crash severity and whether or not front occupant's belts are buckled. Curtain-type air bags that extend from the headliner to protect the heads of both front and rear occupants are optional. Three-point belts protect all passengers. Front belts have adjustable anchors, but only the driver's belt is equipped with pretensioners and force limiters, to reduce belt slack and forces in the event of a crash. Integral head restraints in the front seats, and adjustable locking restraints in the rear outboard seats are all tall enough to limit rearward head travel, even if lowered. The rear center seat lacks a head restraint. Driving with kids: Most child seats should be secure in the passenger positions. Rear-facing infant seats may require some padding at the base to maintain the proper recline angle. There are tether anchor points for each of the rear seats on the seatbacks and LATCH ( LATCH e echivalentul ISOFIX aici) anchors are installed in the rear outboard positions. Spacing of the inner LATCH anchors allow for use of the rear center seat, or separate use in the rear outboard seats.

RELIABILITY

We expect reliability to be average, according to our latest subscriber survey.
